The Palm of Your Hand - Alison Krauss

This song makes me cry (in a good way) every time.

"If I trust the One who died for me,
Who shed His blood to set me free,
If I live my life to trust in You
Your grace will see me through.
***
I'd rather be in the palm of Your hand,
Tho' rich or poor I might be.
Faith can see right through the circumstance,
Sees the forest in spite of the trees.
Your grace provides for me."

Wow. I only knew her for a great song that got used on the TV show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Had no idea she did country or that she was Christian. Thanks!

Hey, Mark. Do you remember which song was used on Buffy?

This video of Alison is even more wonderful to me in light of the fact that this is a performance on the Letterman show (1995 I believe). Imagine, she could have sung whatever she wanted and she chose this one. What courage and conviction.

She seems to put at least one spiritual or gospel-type song on her CDs. Two other favorites of mine are "There Must be a Reason" and "A Living Prayer." (Both on YouTube)

Thanks Rhonda. I have an album of hers but she has long blond tresses. Like the red head look better--I am partial. Beautiful song. Joanie

This song brings good tears to my eyes, too. It is on the album with "When You Say Nothing at All" which is my song for John.
