Are you old enough to remember the "Miracle on Ice," the ice hockey game in the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, NY? Russia was highly-favored to win the gold but the US team, made up of college and non-professional hockey players, defeated them in one of the medal rounds and went on to take the gold.
So inspirational was the victory, that twice the story was told on the big screen. The first movie, Miracle on Ice came out in 1981. In the second movie, Miracle (2004) there is a well-known scene where Herb Brooks (played by Kurt Russell), the coach gives a pre-game pep talk to the US team. For reference, you can see the clip here:
Miracle - Coach Brooks Addresses Team Pre Game
Here's a young boy who has memorized that speech and delivers it here. Cute.

I only listened to the "little man". That was really something. Joanie
My favorite part is when he says he's sick and tired of the Soviets and then emphatically yells, "Screw 'em!"
Fish Stix
JJ and Fish Stix...
That little guy cracks me up. I like the same part you like, FS. The next video I would like to post here is of Fish Stix and the 3 T's using that little webcam you all are enjoying. Be creative. This could be the break you've been waiting for!
Oh. My. Gosh. I laughed myself silly watching this little guy!! Thanks, Rhonda.
Now come back and blog, will you?
I just saw this little guy on the local news. Did you know he was from Kirkwood?
Thank you guys for still stopping by when I am such a sorry blog-hostess.
When I first saw this video I couldn't stop watching it. "I'm thick and ti-yerd of herein' about what a great team the Thoviets have. Sthrew 'em!" Too cute. I didn't know the little man was from Kirkwood. That makes me love him even more.
