Read Through the Bible in a Year
Pastor Chris Smith, of Resurrection Presbyterian Church here in St. Louis, offers links to various Bible reading plans in his December 31st blog entry. I like the one called "Bible Reading Plan for Shirkers and Slackers," 'cause, hey, that's me! So I'm going for it. And the good thing is, there's no pressure. Shirkers and slackers have low expectations.

Thanks for the link! I'm definitely going to check out the Slackers' plan. :-)
Hi, Angie. What I really like about the Slacker plan is that it assigns different genres for the days of the weeks. Every Sunday is Old Testament Poetry, for example. I also like the handy-dandy check-off chart. I must say that the PDF doc is small for my old eyes, so I saved it and then opened it in a photo-editing program to enlarge to two pages before printing.
So glad you found this. So let me get this right. You are the slacker and I am shirker or is it the other way around. Thanks for keeping me accountable. Am heading over to the web site now. Joanie
Joanie, I will be the slacker AND the shirker and you can be the shining example of dedication. It will be nice to be accountable...thanks for joining me on this.
